First I want to thank everyone that came to our first annual Meet-n-Greet at Blackhat/Defcon.  It was nice meeting all of you and putting names to faces.  We will try and do it again next year.  If you are also interested in doing a "developer days" conference, please speak up.

One of the requests I heard from the group was the desire for a "users" list for STIX and its children. This list should not focus on standards development nor on what STIX/CybOX/TAXII should look like.  But rather, how do you use them, how do you get started, what happens when you are having problems with API code, how do you document an IP in CybOX, etc..  

In my opinion the old MITRE lists, that are going away, served both functions, standards work and user groups. With the transition to OASIS and the fact that the MITRE lists will go away at some point, we will need to look at doing something else. To this end I have created a public Google Group to facilitate the "user" side of the discussions that used to happen on the old MITRE lists.

This Google Group will support both email discussions and web forum Q-n-A, you can find them at the following addresses.
