Subject: RE: [dita] Order for lang ref files (Was "Re: [dita] problem with packaging of glossaries")
The proposed TOC entries and titles seem pretty good to me. Renaming “Topic elements” to "topic structural
elements" makes me a little uneasy. Would “basic topic elements” or “fundamental
topic elements” be better? Using “Metadata elements” as a major heading makes me
uneasy, but I’m not entirely sure why. Perhaps it is because we use the term “Metadata”
for so many things already. My problem is that I can’t suggest a better name at
the moment. Given the recent discussion of “Glossary” vs. “Glossary Entry”
(glossentry) is “Glossary related elements” the name we want? It isn’t very
parallel with the items that come before. I’d prefer “Glossary elements” or “Glossary
Entry Elements”. -Jeff From: Su-Laine Yeo
[mailto:su-laine.yeo@justsystems.com] Hi everyone, As I promised on Tuesday, here is a suggestion for the
organization of the language reference. The numbers below are the ones we're
using for DITA 1.1 (http://docs.oasis-open.org/dita/v1.1/CD02/langspec/ditaref-type.html).
Items without numbers are new for DITA 1.2. I will probably have some suggestions later to rename
some of these items, but I’d rather not mix up a discussion on renaming with a
discussion on organization. What do you think of this organization? Cheers, Su-Laine Su-Laine Yeo Interaction Design Specialist JustSystems Canada, Inc.
