Subject: RE: [dita] DITA 1.2 Schema Issues
Hi, Mary. We just wanted to let you know that we plan to continue forward
with the OS submission. The TC decided that the problem with the XSDs is very small
and does not warrant withdrawing the OS submission. Please let me know if there is any additional information that
you need for us in order to move forward with bring DITA 1.2 forward for an
OASIS vote in November 2010. Best

[mailto:mary.mcrae@oasis-open.org] Hi everyone, I'm sending this note as advance warning. It is
likely that the Errata process will be going away; most complain that it is useless
since it does not allow substantive changes to be made (i.e. most bug fixes).
If there are known problems to be rectified it is much better to withdraw the
OS submission and fix those now, but of course it's completely up to the TC.
The current Errata process will be replaced with a Maintenance release which
will most likely have the same approval path as any other Work Product. These conversations are happening now in the
Board Process Committee and it is unclear what the outcome will be or when it
will go into effect. I just wanted to make sure you weren't planning on
something that might not be there when you expect it.
