Yes, I've seen it :-)

Yes, I've overriden two templates to chunk by chapters. In fact, something
interesting could be to put the splitting choice in a single template (such
as "chunk") and make the chunking template engine ("process-chunk-element")
use the chunk template result. But I'm sure it is not easy to do!
