Subject: RE: DOCBOOK-APPS: PassiveTeX Howto?
Colin, Just a suggestion: why not post a sample document which produces the error? That way the PassiveTeX users on this list (including myself) can attempt to replicate the problem. Some other tips that I have found useful: - Try validating your document against the DTD using OpenSP (or equivalent). - Find the smallest possible document which will replicate the problem. This should be the document you post to the list! - Ditto for the driver file. - Do the PassiveTeX test files work? (mine are in /usr/share/texmf.local/tex/xmltex/passivetex/test/) Good luck, > -----Original Message----- > From: Colin Meyer [mailto:cmeyer@helvella.org] > Sent: Monday, February 11, 2002 11:32 AM > To: Colin Meyer > Cc: docbook-apps@lists.oasis-open.org > Subject: Re: DOCBOOK-APPS: PassiveTeX Howto? > > > On Wed, Feb 06, 2002 at 09:41:40PM -0800, Colin Meyer wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I've got some docbook files that I'd like to convert to pdf. > > I'm playing with the XSL stylesheets. > > > > I've had some success (I can at least make a pdf file) with FOP, > > and would like to compare with PassiveTex before I start > customizing. > > However, I haven't had the least success with the PassiveTeX. > > > > When trying to process a simple document, I get a Fatal error. > ... > > Thanks for any help, > > If I have asked on the wrong forum, perhaps someone could be so kind > as to point me to another source of information.
