Oops, I goofed - turning on table.borders.with.css does handle the <table frame="topbot" attribute - I think the colsep="0" defeated it. The output is almost what I expect, but not quite: the tgroup template treats both the top and topbot the same: <xsl:when test="../@frame='topbot' or ../@frame='top'"> <xsl:attribute name="style"> <xsl:call-template name="border"> <xsl:with-param name="side" select="'top'"/> As a result, I get only a top border: <TABLE BORDER="0" style="border-top: 0.5pt black solid"> Shouldn't frame='topbot' be tested separately, and call the border template with both top and bottom params? -Denis
