Put the following in your customisation layer: (define ($page-number-format$ #!optional (gi (gi))) "1") You may want to look whether the book-article stylesheet from AlcoveBook meets part of your needs. You'll see there an example of titlepage customisation, in addition to a tuning of other aspects of the stylesheet (including the $page-number-format$ stuff above).
