Subject: DOCBOOK-APPS: FW: [ANN] xml-commons-resolver-1.0 released asindependent component
----- Forwarded message from Shane Curcuru <shane_curcuru@yahoo.com> ----- Date: Tue, 12 Nov 2002 09:27:48 -0800 (PST) From: Shane Curcuru <shane_curcuru@yahoo.com> Subject: [ANN] xml-commons-resolver-1.0 released as independent component To: commons-dev@xml.apache.org Cc: announcements@xml.apache.org By request and as an experiment to try new packaging, I've posted a 1.0 release of the XmlResolver component of xml-commons. This release includes just Norman Walsh's org.apache.xml.resolver package, which implements a number of useful XML catalog resolving features. You can download the release at: http://xml.apache.org/commons/dist/xml-commons-resolver-1.0.zip http://xml.apache.org/commons/dist/xml-commons-resolver-1.0.tar.gz with corresponding .sig files. The sources have been tagged xml-commons-resolver-1_0. Note that Norman has a few planned bugfixes in the near future which are not in this release; they'll be in a 1.1 release when we're ready for it. This release is primarily so existing clients can have a released version to use for reference. Note that this also includes another packaging experiment. Since xml-commons may host a number of small XML-centric bits, I'm wondering if it would be useful for reference or the like to have a well-known location where you can find resolver-latest.jar, which would be a copy of the latest public release of the resolver. I've posted one in our distribution area (signed of course), comments welcome. I imagine this could be very useful for which.jar to make it easy for folks to download just the .jar to use in environment checking, etc. Sorry for the delay! Getting ready for ApacheCon and starting to forrestize xml-commons are my next spare time projects... ===== - Shane <eof .sig="'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in a very scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less'" "Oohayu oyod?!"=gis. /> __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
