No, I don't think it is a bug in FOP. The template sets line-height="2.4" on *all* <para>s; the sole exception is footnotes. If you (for example) want double line-height for block-level <para>s only, I suggest something like this: <xsl:template match="para[parent::section or parent::article]"> <fo:block line-height="2.4"> <xsl:apply-imports/> </fo:block> </xsl:template> /MJ
