Subject: Re: [docbook-apps] Simpler XHTML output

Hi, Bob.

Is there currently any sort of specification for the current output to
compare against to make sure we're not missing anything? Even just a
source document that used every feature would be sufficient, as then
that could be used to generate an output file that contained "every"
piece of output. That would make it much easier to know what needed to
be cleaned up. (This is what I was referring to in my previous post.
There's a LOT of code in there, and I don't know all of the places to
even look to find stuff that would need to be cleaned up.)

When you say the spec would need to include a template for the CSS, do
you mean a "recommended CSS" file that is provided on the side, or
something that would be included automatically, such as in a <style> tag
in the header?

"If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of
exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an
idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it
to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the
possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of
it." -- Thomas Jefferson
