The DSSSL/jade/jadetex path is also not more mature, if by "mature" you mean "better" and not just "old". The current open-source XSL-FO engines may not be mature, but there are non-open-source XSL-FO engines that are very mature. One of them, XEP, is even no-cost, as long as you are using it for non-commercial purposes (like, say, producing documentation for open-source applications). --Mike
