This has the advantage to process the content of the OpenOffice.org files from a DocBook tool chain. Of course, the result depends on how you structure your OOo documents. IMHO an easy write and forget method is this solution probably not. Unfortunatly they can process the OOo elements only partially. As far as I know they are incomplete and "know" version 1.x only, not the new OpenDocument format [2]. However, it shouldn't be very difficult to extend the stylesheets. Be aware, that the specification[2] is huge. With the OpenDocument format you are free to transform it into whatever XML you wish.
