RE: [docbook-apps] Duplicate footnotes

The footnoteref element exists to facilitate that: http://docbook.org/tdg/en/html/footnoteref.html

 

The stylesheets don't automatically collapse duplicate footnotes however. You manually add an id to a footnote and then use a footnoteref in places where you could like it a reference to it duplicated.

Is there an easy way to collapse duplicate footnotes, similar to what is described in http://moinmoin.wikiwikiweb.de/MoinMoinPatch/FootNoteFilterDuplicates (but without the numbers in parentheses)?
