You can download self-contained demo from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=153524&package_id=185329 there are two batch files that can be invoked to process DocBook to HTML and PDF. During processing Java sources are higlighted. You will find sample stylesheets customizations showing integration with DocBook stylesheets.
