Sacha, Good questions. A signal is indicating a state change between partners. Therefore - would an eavesdropper be able to infer anything from this at all? I suspect not - certainly no more than just knowing that an interchange occurred - but the context and purpose would be hard to fathom? This could be the rationale behind not requiring or supporting these extended parameters on signals...
