Subject: [humanmarkup] Voting Mailing List and Notes on discussions

Hi Everyone,

First: The mailing list for discussions related to voting on the
first working draft of the Primary Base Schema is:

humanmarkup@lists.oasis-open.org, cognite@zianet.com,
clbullar@ingr.com, kurt@kurtcagle.net, mbatsis@netsmart.gr

Please either copy it and keep it handy, or save this message
separately in a place on your computers where you will remember it.

For Manos: I am sending this message to this list instead of asking
you to read the minutes to learn about our decisions concerning this
phase of the process because I don't know for certain when I will get
the minutes out this month. I am going to work on the specification
from this afternoon until I finish the first working draft. It will
be interesting to note how often I break to collapse and sleep until
I decide it is ready to submit to you all.

We have decided to conduct our discussions of the first working draft
of the specification on this list only until we vote on it as an
official TC specification and then announce the release of it for the
30 days minmum of public discussion. That public discussion is not
only to be announced to OASIS but outside as well, and all discussion
of the spec for that 30-day period takes place on the
public-discussion list. Thenh we make any further changes that the
voting TC members deem necessary, and vote to send it on to OASIS for
the second phase of approval by the OASIS-wide process or for another
30-day period of public discussion.

However, this is a reminder that until I send out the first draft of
the Primary Base Schema. our discussions on the new elements and
attributeGroup will continue on the public-comment list.

We currently have: thought and belief open, (and any others to which
anyone wants to add remarks and comments), and intent will follow
sometime today. We basically decided that a new attributeGroup,
humlCommAtts will be added, replacing humlIdentifierAtts in elements
where it is clear that the elements are related to communications
while humlIdentifierAtts relate to human characteristics.

We eagerly await the shortest, most precise definitions we can come
up with for semiote and referrant, which, with belief and intent and
humanGroup comprise the remainder of the full specification elements.

Ciao,
Rex
