OASIS News 23 September 2002 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments and activities for the XML interoperability consortium. --------------------------------------------------------- OASIS TC Process Revised The OASIS Board of Directors approved a revision to the OASIS TC Process. Some minor changes as well as a major change to the approval cycle are part of this revision. Where this approval previously required a five month preparation, review, and approval cycle that was started only once a calendar quarter, the new approval process can be started any month and is completed in a month and a half, but requires a public review of the Committee Specification before being submitted to the OASIS membership. The new TC Process document is available at http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/process.shtml; a link to a summary of the changes is found on this same page. --------------------------------------------------------- The OASIS Web Services Security TC has clarified its charter The WSS TC voted on changes to the charter, these changes were made to better describe and refine the purpose, scope and deliverables of the TC.
