Advance Digital Signature Services at OASIS

A Call for Participation has been issued for the new OASIS Digital
Signature Services Technical Committee (DSS TC). The TC will develop
techniques to support the processing of digital signatures, including a
protocol for a digital signature creation Web service, a protocol for a
centralized digital signature verification Web service, and an XML-based
protocol to produce cryptographic time stamps.

An ebXML Speaker's Bureau has been established and is seeking speakers
who reside across the globe (Europe, Americas, Asia, etc.). If you would

Please Note--LegalXML eContracts TC Meeting Change

Due to scheduling difficulties the first meeting of the LegalXML
eContracts TC has been changed to 13 November, 5:00PM (EST) via
conference call. Interested participants are being given advance notice
of the new date to comply with the requirements of the TC Process for 30
days' notice.

OASIS and LISA Collaborate on Global e-Business Survey

A new survey to determine the impact of multi-lingual technologies on
global e-business is the latest product of cooperation between two
international organizations developing complementary standards for
localization. OASIS, together with the Localization Industry
Standards Association (LISA), have produced a Global eBusiness Survey
http://www.lisa.org/interact/2002/ebizsurvey.html designed to
investigate the amount of activity and resources devoted to using or
developing localization products. Please take a moment and participate
in this survey.
