Subject: 2005 Board and TAB election results

Members,

OASIS is pleased to announce the results of the 2005 elections for the Board
of Directors and Technical Advisory Board. Those elected reflect the
diversity of our membership. The user, vendor, consulting, and academic
communities are all represented, with the support of organizations based in
Asia, Europe, and North America.

John Jackson of GM and Claus von Riegen of SAP were elected, and Eduardo
Gutentag of Sun Microsystems, Chris Kurt of Microsoft, and Michael Weiner of
IBM were re-elected to the OASIS Board of Directors. Their two-year terms
begin 28 July 2005. They join existing directors whose seats expire in July
2006, Edward Cobb of BEA, Mike DeNicola of Fujitsu, Bob Glushko of the
University of California at Berkeley, Frederick Hirsch of Nokia, and Jeff
Mischkinsky of Oracle, as well as Patrick Gannon, who has an appointed seat
on the Board as President and CEO of OASIS.

Martin Chapman of Oracle and Hal Lockhart of BEA Systems were elected, and
Bill Cox (individual member) and Pete Wenzel of SeeBeyond were re-elected to
the OASIS Technical Advisory Board. Their two-year terms begin July 2005.
They join existing TAB members, Jacques Durand of Fujitsu, Mike Mahan of
Nokia, Jishnu Mukerji of Hewlett Packard, and Timothy Stevens of
Lexis-Nexis, whose seats expire in 2006.

The Consortium would like to express our deepest appreciation to departing
Board members, John Borras of the e-Government Unit, UK Cabinet Office, and
Jim Hughes of Hewlett-Packard (with special recognition of Jim's work as
Board Chair) for their service and guidance over the past years. OASIS also
recognizes Christopher Ferris of IBM and Timothy Moses of Entrust for their
participation in the TAB and their contribution to its growing service to
the Consortium.

Finally, we offer our thanks to all members who participated in the 2005
election process--by nominating candidates, volunteering to serve on our
Boards, submitting questions for nominees, and casting ballots. OASIS
continues to be distinguished by its open election process and the quality
of its leadership.
