2.) Review, TC Action Item plan: http://wiki.oasis-open.org/odf-adoption/OdfAdoptionTcActionItems
The TC reviewed and discussed the line
items in the wiki.
Re. Communications Plan: Marino stressed
the importance of preparing the ODF 1.2 collaterals and FAQ.
Marino took the action item to draft
the ODF 1.2 brochure.
Re. Google map of ODF adoption: Marino
will be creating this map from the earlier draft content to create an interactive
map with Google-style pushpins identifying local communities and attributes
by city/country. A color-coded legend was discussed to reflect an accurate
description of the type and degree of ODF support.
Louis suggested creating an annual snapshot;
ie. 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008... to show adoption momentum.
Re. Events: the TC discussed OpenOffice.org
Conference in Orvieto and the possibility to re-schedule it -1 month (early
October). Government 2.0 Summit in Washington D.C. was raised as
a potential target event in the context of ongoing policy shifts due to
the Obama Administration leadership initiatives on Transparency and Open
Government.
