Without a quorum, no changes were made.
- Acceptance of today's agenda
1.) Defining the ODF Adoption TC 2010 Workplan --- continued from January
19th discussion.
A review of the current ODF collateral is needed. Updating this collateral
to include details for ODF 1.2 is necessary.
"ODF Essentials" book by JD
Eisenberg was discussed. We need to understand if it's possible to author
a 2nd Edition with details of ODF 1.2. Publication possibilities were also
discussed; e.g. O'Reilly Associates, etc.
Other eBook titles such as "Programming
with ODF", "Accessiblity and ODF", "Authoring Document
for Interoperability", were mentioned. These could begin as serialized
blog entries on the ODF Focus Area, and progress from there.
Aslam suggested an essay on the distinction
between ODF 1.0, ODF 1.1, and ODF 1.2, to clarify how authors of government
interoperability frameworks may properly document their intent to reference
ODF and the correct phase of the standard definitions both in OASIS and
ISO/IEC JTC1. A roadmap reference document was determined to be the best
deliverable for this purpose.
What documents and supporting collateral
should the TC prepare to support the upcoming Document Freedom Day? (March
31, 2010)
2.) Supporting the ODF TC with Interop Demo project management - continued
from January 19th discussion
Completing the ODF 1.1 amendment phase at the ODF TC is the prerequisite
for beginning to plan the ODF Interop Demo program.
3.) ODF News / Round Table -- All
a.) Oracle/Sun merger
Aslam is uncertain how the new Oracle
management will support his global team.
b.) FOSDEM Updates
(3) sessions on ODF are planned. Svante
Schubert, Bart Hanssens, and Jerome Dumonteil will present sessions on
ODF Toolkit, ODF Interoperability, and the lpOD project.
c.) ODF Plug-fest planning
Plug-fest planning is beginning to be
discussed for April 19 - 20, 2010, in Granada, Spain.
d.) Other events on 2010 calendar
SC34 meeting is scheduled for March
25 - 27, 2010 in Stockholm.
lpOD 0.9 will be available February
3, 2010.
The meeting was adjourned.
