Subject: Re: [office] list-override proposal
Hi Thomas, this is just my proposal. I guess Oliver asked you to write a proposal of your idea. ---- I know that sometimes "silence means agreement". However it just took me some time to get a better understanding of the numbering issue. So I'm sorry to say that I don't agree to the "consensus" Oliver proposed for reasons of * Backward compatibility * Problem mapping between text:lists and numbered-paragraphs * Redundant information. As I said in the last TC meeting my rejection of the list-id approach is based on what I understand of the list-id approach. Maybe I understood it wrong. So a grammar and an explanation would help. Furthermore mapping the examples I made to the list-id approach might also help me understand the issue better. I still don't see why a list-override would not be sufficient for you? ~Florian P.S. Do you agree with the examples I made to illustrate how text:list and text:numbered-paragraph currently play together in ODF1.1? >>> Thomas Zander <zander@kde.org> 03/06/07 5:02 PM >>> On Tuesday 06 March 2007 16:11, Florian Reuter wrote: > Here is my proposal for the list-override enhancement. Have I missed something? As I understood from David end last year, the consensus was that the style-override would _only_ be for text:list way of working and the list-id would _only_ be for the numbered-paragraph way of working. The attached proposal doesn't reflect this at all. See; http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office-comment/200612/msg00001.html -- Thomas Zander
