Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1594) Editor Note: Section17.204 draw:notify-on-update-of-ranges
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1594?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13080#action_13080 ] Michael Brauer commented on OFFICE-1594: ---------------------------------------- Proposal: Change the description to: ---- The draw:notify-on-update-of-ranges attribute specifies that the <draw:object> will be notified if the content within the given ranges do change. In case the draw object is embedded within a spreadsheet document the draw:notify-on-update-of-ranges attribute does contain a list of ranges within the spreadsheet. The notation is of type cellRangeAddressList in this case. In case the draw object is embedded within a text document the draw:notify-on-update-of-ranges attribute does contain the name of a table within the text document. ---- or simler: --- The draw:notify-on-update-of-ranges attribute specifies that the <draw:object> will be notified if the content within the given ranges do change. The value can be a list of ranges or the name of a table. In case of a table name, the <draw:object> element gets notified if any of the table's cells change. ---- Further allow both, cellRangeAddressList and String as value types in the schema. A cellRangeAddressList actually is a valid string, so this does not really extend the value range of he attribute, but it makes clearer what its values are. Patrick: If you change the text as proposed, then send the issue back to me so that I can adapt the schema". > Editor Note: Section 17.204 draw:notify-on-update-of-ranges > ----------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-1594 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1594 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 > Reporter: Robert Weir > Assignee: Michael Brauer > Priority: Blocker > Fix For: ODF 1.2 > > > Transcribed from ODF_Revised_Editorial_Notes_27May2009.odt > Original author: Patrick Durusau > Section 17.204 draw:notify-on-update-of-ranges > Ed. Note We don't specify how this notification takes place. The value of the attribute is only a string. I don't think this "is" the notification since that would involve what was changed in the update. So, how does this attribute "enable" notification? Wouldn't a boolean be better? -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
