Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Updated: (OFFICE-2903) 9.2.7 <table:scenario>- what triggers "temporary" application of the sceneario?

Eike Rathke updated OFFICE-2903:
--------------------------------

    Proposal:
Delete "temporarily" from "... a table whose contents temporarily replaces the contents ..."

Replace
"
The visibility of a scenario table is controlled by its style.
"
with
"
The visible indication of a scenario table is controlled by its table:display-border attribute.
"

Replace
"
Only one scenario table can be applied to a table at one time.
"
with
"
Only one scenario table can be applied to a range at one time.
"

"Temporarily" is misleading, it is "temporarily permanent" ;-) until the user selects a different scenario. There are active scenarios that are used as the actual table data. The scenarios applied to a table are specified with a table:is-active='true' attribute.

"The visibility of a scenario table is controlled by its style" is badly worded, what was meant is probably that as the visibility of the border is controlled with the table:display-border attribute and if that is false there is no visible indication that the data displayed is actually a scenario.

"Only one scenario table can be applied to a table at one time" is wrong, multiple scenario tables can be applied to a table as long as the ranges of the scenarios don't overlap.

> In full the language in question reads: "A scenario is one or more cell ranges of a table whose contents temporarily replaces the contents of the cell ranges in the nearest non-scenario table preceding the scenario table in document order."
> OK, so what is the default position? Applied or not? And how do we record which one?
> Or is that the "visibility of a scenario table" that is controlled by a style?
> That seems like an odd way to say that a scenario is applied to at table, to describe it as visibility of the scenario table.
