Good point Dave,

It is probably "host-specification dependency" since it doesn't exactly line up as a pure markup hosting in the case of OpenFormula.  

Would that work?

(This was very last minute integration of ODF 1.2 dependencies between Part 1 and the OpenFormula Part 2, and I recognize other places it could be smoothed as we prepare for the follow-up to the current review.)

Dennis, I found that quite confusing till you explained it.
How about 'host language' dependency?

IMHO that is clearer.
