Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-3039) 6.16.18: Issues withConvert Function
[ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3039?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=21086#action_21086 ] David Wheeler commented on OFFICE-3039: ---------------------------------------- Regarding the CONVERT function: 1. Leave "pc" as-is. It simply overrides pico-calorie, and is not ambiguous. 2. "HPh" is from OpenOffice.org's CONVERT_ADD function. Propose leave as-is. 3. NIST (http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html) does have these capitalized, so let's switch to capitals, changing "ki" to "Ki". Also: Under "Area", it should be "ly2" or "ly^2", not "ly". > 6.16.18: Issues with Convert Function > ------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-3039 > URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-3039 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: OpenFormula > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 CD 05 > Reporter: Eric Patterson > Assignee: David Wheeler > Fix For: ODF 1.2 CD 06 > > > 6.16.18 > "pc" ambiguity > "c" is the prefix for energy unit calorie and can accept the pico prefix "p" hence "pc" is pico-calorie. The spec also defines "pc" as an abreviation for parsec. Proposal: Remove "pc" as symbol for parsec. > HPh Source? > Is Horsepower-hour (HPh preferred)a standard unit? What is the source? > kibit binary Prefix > All of the Binary Unit Prefixes are inital caps, should "ki" be "Ki"? -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
