Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (OFFICE-3679) Master style cannot be parent of drawing-page style
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3679?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=69498#comment-69498 ] Regina Henschel commented on OFFICE-3679: ----------------------------------------- My summarized proposal: Exchange the sentence: "Each drawing page is directly linked to one master page, which is specified by the draw:master-page-name attribute of the drawing pages style." with "Each drawing page is directly linked to one master page, which is specified by the draw:master-page-name attribute of the <draw:page> element." Remove the sentence "In drawings and presentations, master pages can be assigned to drawing pages using a style:parent-style-name attribute." > Master style cannot be parent of drawing-page style > --------------------------------------------------- > > Key: OFFICE-3679 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3679 > Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Part 1 (Schema), Styles > Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 Errata 01 > Reporter: Jos van den Oever > Assignee: Jos van den Oever > Fix For: ODF 1.3 > > > Section 16.9 <style:master-page> says: > "In drawings and presentations, master pages can be assigned to drawing pages using a style:parent-style-name attribute." > In this sentence 'style:parent-style-name' was probably meant as 'draw:master-page-name'. A master page is not a similar type of style as a drawing-page style, so allowing a master page to be a parent of a drawing-page style would have complicated behavior which is not currently specified. > Also, the erroneous sentence talks about assigning master pages to drawing pages, not about assigning them to drawing page styles. 'style:parent-style-name' is an attribute for style:style, while 'draw:master-page-name' is an attribute of 'draw:page'. Setting draw:master-page-name on draw:page is the appropriate way of assigning a master style to drawing pages in drawings and presentations. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
