Subject: Non-material changes and comment log

Greetings!

I kept a log of my responses to comments by the TC Admin and Regina
(thanks!) which is attached. I am posting this to the mailing list along
with the draft versions to our document repository. Log is attached.

Hope everyone is at the start of a great week!

Patrick

Response to Paul's comments on the latest drafts:

General:
- Some Normative References appear to be outdated. Marina Latini also noted something similar [3].

Patrick - To respond would require tracking which sections of XSL were updated by CSS to determine if they have changed the definitions we use.

Patrick - If those definitions have changed, that could impact current implementations, which is not the aim of this point release.

Patrick - If those definitions have not changed, then the current citations are sufficient.

- Many Normative References do not have active hyperlinks, even when a URL is shown as text. OASIS TC Administration recommends using active links.

- When the Parts were renumbered for Version 1.3, some references to the part numbers were not updated (apparently). See specific examples for Part 2 and Part 3 below.

Patrick - Corrected.

Part 2: Packages
- In Section 1.5, the first line mentions "part 3", but it apparently should be "Part 2", the current Part. "part 3" also appears in the title of Table 1.

Patrick - Corrected - good catch

- The hyperlink to [ZIP] in Appendix C of Part 2 [4] is broken in the XHTML version, since it is rendered as "https://docs.oasis-open.org/office/OpenDocument/v1.3/csprd02/part2-packages/available%20at%20http://www.pkware.com/support/application-note-archives";. In this case, the link (in Normative References) is also outdated, and should be either https://www.pkware.com/documents/APPNOTE/APPNOTE-6.2.0.txt or maybe link to the page where PKWARE specifically calls out the use of ZIP in the Office Open XML File Formats, at https://support.pkware.com/display/PKZIP/Application+Note+Archives.

Patrick: There is no hyperlink in Appendix C of part 2, there was a bibliography reference that should have been a cross-ref to zip in the normative references.

Open issue: Ref to use for ZIP - deferred to the TC

Part 3: Schema
- In Section 1.5, Table 6, there is a reference to "Part2" which is probably intended to be "Part 4".

Patrick: Corrected.

- Section 1.5 mentions "Tables 1-4", but there are six following tables, and the text appears to refer to all six.

Patrick: Corrected.

- There are two broken links noted in the text:
-- the Non-normative reference to [BibTeXing] is not correct (site reports the document has been removed)

Regina suggests:

*****
I suggest https://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/biblio/bibtex/base
We would need to add, that it is file "btxdoc.pdf" from that list. Or use its link, that is
http://mirrors.ctan.org/biblio/bibtex/base/btxdoc.pdf
The actual download comes from a mirror then.
*****

Thoughts?

-- the text link in Appendix D.4 to ODF accessibility guidelines is broken/incomplete. A correct link is https://docs.oasis-open.org/office/office-accessibility/v1.0/ODF_Accessibility_Guidelines-v1.0.html.

Other comments:

Regina:

There are two "Reference source not found" in 19.191 draw:mime-type in part3. Because after that, there is [RFC6838], I think, these can be simple deleted.

Patrick: Corrected.

Regina:

the paragraph Note 2 in section 2.3.1 OpenDocument Formular Evaluator in part 4 has the paragraph style "Text Body". It should be paragraph style "Note", same as paragraph Note 1.

Patrick: Corrected.
