Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (OFFICE-3857) scale-to-X and scale-to-Y attributes

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/OFFICE-3857?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=77573#comment-77573 ]

Francis Cave commented on OFFICE-3857:
--------------------------------------

Patrick noticed that the changes to style:scale-to and style:scale-to-pages were not listed in Appendix G. That will be fixed in ODF 1.3 CS02.

Also, comparing the text of style:scale-to (20.352), style:scale-to-pages (20.353), style:scale-to-X (20.354) and style:scale-to-Y (20.355), the text of the second sentence of each of 20.354 and 20.355 can be improved to be clearer and more consistent with the text of 20.352 and 20.353.

Currently, the second sentence of both 20.354 and 20.355 reads as in the original proposal (with cross-references added):

"... If these attributes, style:scale-to-pages 20.353 and style:scale-to 20.352 are absent, a document is not scaled."

However, it is not clear to which attributes the phrase "If these attributes" is referring to. It would therefore be much better to be explicit about this, as is done in 20.352 and 20.353:

In 20.354:

"... If style:scale-to-X, style:scale-to-Y 20.355, style:scale-to-pages 20.353 and style:scale-to 20.352 are absent, a document is not scaled."

ÂIn 20.355:

"... If style:scale-to-Y, style:scale-to-X 20.354, style:scale-to-pages 20.353 and style:scale-to 20.352 are absent, a document is not scaled."

I propose that these editorial changes also be made in ODF 1.3 CS02.

> Fit Print Ranges To Width/Height feature was implemented in OpenOffice.org in 2004, see https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=8868.
> However, the style:scale-to-X and style:scale-to-Y attributes are missing from the ODF standard.
