****************

*Patrick:* Francis, are you on the call?

*Patrick:* quorum - yes

*Patrick:* agenda - approved by consent

*Patrick:* minutes of 27 March 2023 - by consent

*Patrick:* Office-4030

*Regina Henschel:* For style:table-properties and style:section-properties add new attribute style:inverse-column-order

If the section/table has a vertical writing-mode direction, this attribute specified, that the order of columns is inverted compared to the order given by the writing-mode of the section/table.
If the section/table has a horizontal writing-mode direction, this attribute is ignored.

*Patrick:* Order of columns separated from writing mode

*Patrick:* Regina - Word all tables are horizontal on export not included in table properties

*Patrick:* Alfred - word behavior now or after change

*Patrick:* Regina - now

*Patrick:* Word sets vertical on the table cell

*Patrick:* on export to ODF set on the table

*Michael Stahl:* writing mode for tables in Word: 1) table cell can be LTR/RTL/vertical 2) table can be LTR/RTL but not vertical (this affects the column order)

*Michael Stahl:* in Word, a table in vertical section is also horizontal

*Michael Stahl:* in DOCX, 1) is w:textDirection 2) is w:bidiVisual

*Patrick:* Regina - agreement on new attribute?

*Patrick:* Michael - if can continue to use writing mode will minimize compatibility issues

*Patrick:* Regina says RL on tables now is wrong in LibreOffice

*Regina Henschel:* https://www.w3.org/TR/2020/NOTE-jlreq-20200811/ Figure 27 and Figure 28

*Regina Henschel:* and figure 256 and figure 285 on that site

*Regina Henschel:* figure 289

*Michael Stahl:* figure 289 is very interesting because the paragraphs on the page don't follow the table in the block-direction - then they would be on the next page and the space visually below the (horizontal) table would be blank

*Patrick:* Regina - will write new proposal and return to this on April 17th

*Patrick:* adjourned
