no, i was confused here: the definition of DateParam is: "either a Number (interpreted as a serial number; 4.3.3) or Text" so the Number need not be Date, it may be DateTime.DATETIMEVALUE.ROUND function may be an option, not sure if you like 1 or 2 functions better :)
