Subject: Must attend 2 of 3 meetings to vote
Many of you have received email from Terry Leahy recently asking if you still want to be a PKI TC member and pointing out that you must attend at least 2 of every 3 consecutive PKI TC meetings to retain your status as a Voting Member. I'm the person who asked Terry to send those emails. Why? Because we have been having trouble getting a quorum at our meetings. We didn't have a quorum at our February or March concalls, so we couldn't vote on anything! There has also been lots of uncertainty about who is or isn't a PKI TC member. And OASIS' move to the Kavi system for TC management hasn't helped things. I'll just put out a simple request. If you want to be a Voting Member of the PKI TC, please dial into the concall on Wednesday (details in Terry's email of April 4). That way, we can vote on things. And you won't be demoted to an Observer for not attending meetings. If you don't want to be a Voting Member, then you don't need to bother to dial in. You can just stay on as an Observer. Thanks for your patience and help, Steve Hanna P.S. Here is a list of people who have attended the last two meetings. Anyone else who wants to remain a Voting Member should call in on Wednesday. And, of course, these people should call in, too! Sharon Boeyen Alex Deacon Peter Doyle Steve Hanna Terry Leahy June Leung John Sabo Krishna Yellepeddy
