Subject: RE: [provision] Agenda for 3/3/2003 PSTC Con-call
Yoav makes a very good point here. You can do single request with a batch, but you can support batch with a single request. This was the very argument that eventual led the DSML TC to define batch, and only batch requests. Batch or single request - I personally prefer the single request however few participant felt that batch request is a must. We should support batch we can support both options. 2. Re-use in SPML thread - I think that we should reuse code/ protocols when ever possible. I think that we should reuse the DSML schema. I believe I'm now up-to-date on the main discussion threads and propose the following agenda for Monday's call (let me know if I'm adrift anything). I'm driving back to Austin from Florida Monday. In case of spotty connection, I have asked Gavenraj to start the physical conference and to be prepared to chair the meeting if my connection is bad. CONFERENCE ID ============= Dial-in Number: 888-742-8686 Conference ID: 5250215 Date: 03/03/2003 Time 10 AM CST Proposed Agenda =============== 1 - 10:05 Order and role-call ----------------------------- Gavenraj to take roll-call and summary minutes please. 2 - Accept meeting minutes -------------------------- From 2/24/2003 meeting, available at [1] 3 - 10:10 Batch or single request --------------------------------- Relating to Conrad's recent mail at [2]. Should the committee consider moving from a batch to a single request model? Conrad (if on call) to present his views on this matter. Discuss/resolve. 4 - 10:12 Re-use in SPML thread --------------------------------- Over the long discussion starting at [3], I believe we have the following motions to consider: 4.1 Removal of dependence on DSMLMessage 4.2 Additional support for multi-valued attributes in 1.0 4.3 Exclusive use of xsd types to define/describe attributes 4.4 Does 4.1 mean that we should get rid of the DSML filter mechanism too? 5 - 10:22 WSDL & SPML --------------------- Continue discussion on WSDL. Is this an issue for the SOAP/HTTP binding or does it have wider relevance to the core protocol (as defined so far)? 6 - 11:00 Motion to Adjourn --------------------------- To reconvene 3/10/2003.
