Gary,
As I said at the face-to-face, I have some reservations about this undertaking. However, I think you have put together a thoughtful and comprehensive document that is a very good "straw man". I've only had a chance to have a first pass so I don't have any specific questions just yet but I would like to correct one thing. On page 6 you quote me as saying that the schema should re-use inetOrgPerson. What I suggested in fact was that, if anything, the PSTC leave the model of a user open so that any definition, including inetOrgPerson, the Liberty User Profile, or another definition, may be used. My concern, and this extends to the definition of Account, is that the PSTC might find it difficult to create the definitive schema for these objects. Of course you could argue that the base definition can be extended but that can easily lead to confusion and complexity, not to mention the need to map back and forth between the SPML schema and the actual user schema.
On your open issue #2, I agree that the model should be defining an operational interface in preference to arbitrary attribute semantics that cannot be represented effectively in a schema alone, and are therefore an impediment to interoperability. In my view this is one of the fundamental weaknesses of a repository model versus a domain-specific model.
Since the concepts in the document seem to be targeted at the ONT proposal, I have to admit to the same confusion about the single target per PSP issue, that you identified as open issue #3, and by implication #4. Perhaps Jeff could explain how the ONT proposal handles multiple targets per PSP and the model he has in mind here.
