Subject: Re: [regrep] Extramural Associations proposal
Joel, I apologize but somehow I missed your message. Please see comments inline. I think Nikola's point is that confirming associations may become a bottleneck or burden on parties. This may well be true but it remains to be seen through the eyes of experience. I can see a future enhancement like: -each User instance specifies User preferences such as "I allow associations to my objects to not require confirmation". I can also see future enahncements -A User grants another User privileges to create associations to their objects without needing confirmation -An access control policy on an object which says anyone can freely create association to it without requiring confirmation However the base or default rule should err on the side of conservativeness and say unless explicitly conformed an extramural association will not be publically visible. > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Farrukh Najmi [mailto:Farrukh.Najmi@sun.com] > Sent: Saturday, November 03, 2001 11:43 AM > To: Farrukh Najmi > Cc: regrep@lists.oasis-open.org > Subject: Re: [regrep] Extramural Associations proposal > > Team, > > A few things about the extramural Associations proposal. > > This proposal fills a hole in our specifications.
