Telecom MS Update

Dear Telecom MS Members,

 

This is an update about the Telecom Member Section latest activities.

 

1. I am glad to report that the Steering Committee has approved the affiliation of the SOA for Telecom TC with the Telecom Member Section.

 

2. Please try to join the SOA-Tel TC see http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/soa-tel/. This TC will play an important role in defining GAPS in SOA as it applies to Telecom requirements and use cases. The first F2F meeting of the TC is currently scheduled to be in Ottawa from January 13-15 2009. You will need to join the TC as soon as possible to be included as voting members. Please publicize the TC so we can get maximum participation.

 

3. The Member Section has had a very successful SOA workshop on September 30th 2008 in the UK. The presentation are now available at http://events.oasis-open.org/home/forum/2008/proceedings

 

4. I have added to the MS web page at http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/telecom-ms/index.php the conference bridge details for the SC bi-weekly call. The call will be OPEN to all Members to dial in from 11:00-11:30 AM Eastern time. The call is bi-weekly and it occurs on Fridays.

 

5. We are in the process to finalize Liaison relationship with several SDO. I will post a new update once the relationship is finalized.
