Subject: RE: [trans-ws] Draft Specification
Hi Peter, Thanks a lot for the efforts you have put
into this. In general it looks good to me, though I have a couple of comments: 1) You may want to add a < <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type"
content="html/text; charset=UTF-8"/> Without this tag my browser (IE 6 with
latest service packs) incorrectly assumed the file to be in a Vietnamese code
page… 2) There seems to be a few code page
related issues left. I found: “These are described are as follows
–” and “that is the “Query Support†method,”. 3) There is a forgotten “Created
on April 14, 2005 11:07 by Peter Reynolds” in the section about
SOAP attachments. 4) In Appendix 3 we should mention and
explain the newly added “uploadFile” mechanism. 5) Now that we are no longer restricted by
WIKI limitations regarding topic titles we should change all the topic headings
for the web methods to not have spaces (i.e. “retrieveServiceList” rather than “retrieve
Service List” etc.). 6) To make the topic separation more clear
I would suggest to use <HR/> to separate the topics. The current style
sheet makes it difficult to see the differences between different levels of subheadings. 7) requestQuote, retreiveQuote and acceptQuote
has an immediate subheadings with the same text. I guess we can get rid of the
sub-heading. 8) To make the document a bit more readable,
perhaps we should consider getting rid of the blue background for some of the
sub-headings, e.g. for the Request and Response sections for each topic? Cheers, Magnus From:
Reynolds, Peter [mailto:Peter.Reynolds@bowneglobal.ie] Hi all, I hope everybody had a good weekend. I have converted the WIKI HTML docs which I extracted from
WIKI into a single HTML file. I have taken out the styles which are used by the
WIKI and used the styles Yves Savourel used for the XLIFF specification. I have
also changed all the links so that they go to the correct place within the
document. This doc should be XHTML but I have not checked that. I would appreciate you having a look at and checking for
errors. I would like to pass it on to Bryan Schnabel in the next few days. He
has offered to do a technical review of the specification. Thanks, Peter. Peter Reynolds, Software Development Manager |
