Subject: eInvoicing - Help California make the right choice - Please vote
California CTO P.K. Agarwal has responded to criticism over the antiquated nature of the state of California’s IT systems with a challenge to come up with ways to rebuild California’s IT systems at one tenth the cost. See http://www.techcrunch.com/2010/02/06/california-cto-challenge/ A crowdsourcing site, "California Government Looking For Your IT Ideas", has been set up to gather input and votes from the community. See http://ca_it.ideascale.com/a/panel.do?id=7163 I have suggested that California implements electronic invoicing based on UBL. The business case is obvious and experience around the world has shown that several hundred of millions of dollars can be saved every year. California (and the rest of the world for that matter) can not afford to postpone this. Please have a look at my submission and cast your vote: http://ca_it.ideascale.com/a/dtd/19551-7163 Best regards, Mikkel Mikkel Hippe Brun Chief Technology Officer, Cofounder Voice: +45 3118 9102 Skype: hippebrun Twitter: @hippebrun @tradeshift Mail: mhb@tradeshift.com Web: http://tradeshift.com Tradeshift Network Ltd / 37 Friars Avenue / London / N20 0XG / UK
