Subject: Re: Altova problem
The immediate problem noted in the first message in this thread has been resolved for the moment by requesting Altova to use the schemas in the UBL 1.0 xsdrt directory. This will allow the UBL schemas to be included in the next major release of XML Spy. Due to the delay caused by this problem, SBS support will not be included in that major release, but it will be provided in the subsequent maintenance release of the product. It appears, however, that the problem identified by Altova still remains an issue that will need to be dealt with in UBL 2.0. The suggested fix was simply to change the definition of <xsd:complexType name="ComponentType"> in the schema file UBL-CoreComponentParameters-1.0.xsd to make the <ccts:Definition> element optional: <xsd:element ref="Definition" minOccurs="0"/> Aside from logging this as an issue, I would like to ask: is something for UBL to address, or is this a matter for UN/CEFACT?
