Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (UBL-2) Documents for party information exchange
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-2?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=63347#comment-63347 ] Roberto Cisternino commented on UBL-2: -------------------------------------- Thanks Ken for your precious inputs. I agree to go with a single document. I'll ask Tim to choose a suitable name within a list of candidates. About social media information in my last comments I proposed to use an ASBIE to ExternalReference that is a little bit more than just an URI, but the best seems to me to create a new ABIE in the CommonAggregateComponents with a cleaner structure: SocialMediaType (the new SocialMedia ABIE) - cbc:ID An identifier for a specific social media (e.g. FB) - cbc:UUID A universally unique identifier for a specific social media - cbc:SocialMediaTypeCode A code that specifies the type of social media (social network, business network, ...) - cbc:Name The common name of the social media (e.g. Facebook) - cbc:URI The Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) of the party's profile in the social media; i.e., its Uniform Resource Locator (URL) A new BBIE has been introduced too: SocialMediaTypeCodeType About EDI details (capabilities) I am unsure how we can move for different reasons: 1) if we put EDI capabilities inside Party we have the chance to use a single document for exchanging one or more Party information. Conversely, we will be limited to a single Party. 2) The Party ABIE is in my opinion the only party information we can exchange. I mean we cannot exchange a SupplierParty a CustomerParty or any other Party extension. 3) I think Party is a relevant "common" part of any party information and I note that it is mainly representing a party within the electronic business. This reason I think electronic business capabilities (aka EDI capabilities) are a primary information that is not second to party legal or tax information. The main fact is that EDI info are a common information for any party within the electronic business so I insist to include these info inside Party. > Documents for party information exchange > ---------------------------------------- > > Key: UBL-2 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-2 > Project: OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) TC > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Documents and business objects > Reporter: Ken Holman > Assignee: Roberto Cisternino > Priority: Minor > -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
