WS-SX TC Minutes, Wed Nov 29 2006 Summary of new Action Items: Chairs to inform OASIS staff of TC decision to take SP to CD and Public Review. 1. Resolution will be forwarded per OASIS process after 24 review period. First meeting of 2007 will be January 10th. W3C Policy WG update: Last call drafts available. WG requests that other WGs/TCs with normative dependencies review and comment last call drafts. Issues list http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-sx/issues/Issues.xml a) Review of action items AI-01 - TC Chairs: 7 days after availability of Trust/SC updates ask OASIS staff to start a committee spec vote and OASIS member vote - Due to comments received on previous Trust SC/Updates, Clock restarts when editors deliver updated specs (expected today -Nov 29th) AI-02 - TC Chairs: spin up an OASIS submission form for Trust/SC and solicit information as needed from members via the SX email list AI-03 - TC Chairs: Prepare formal response to PR issues Done. b) Issues in Review status All review issues are "Closed" by unanimous consent. i090 - Description of Strict Formatting seems wrong for EncryptedKey i101 - Need additional SamlToken Assertion Elements for Holder-of-Key and Sender-Vouches i114 - Additional algorithm properties, assertions and references needed i115 - Universal Encryption of UsernameToken (as specified by Appendix D, d.4, 3.) seems wrong i116 - Is Appendix D Normative? i117 - Element or Content Encryption on SignedEncryptedSupportingTokens Assertion PR001 - Question on WS-Trust sections 4.3.5 to 4.3.7 PR002 - RST message body template is missing <wst:SecondaryParameters> element PR004 - Categorization of SCT references is unclear PR005 - Examples should use recommended mechanism PR006 - minor editorial comments on WS-Trust and WS-SecureConversation PR007 - RSTRC is not described in exemplar in Trust c) New issues i118 - Wrong ProtectionToken Policy in chapter 1.1 Move to Pending i119 - non-normative information in normative part Closed with no action i120 - minor editorial comments on Trust and WS-SecureConversation Move to Pending i121 - Reference to WS-Policy in WS-Trust Paul Cotton (W3C Policy WG Chair) states that earliest date for W3C recommendation is summer 2007 at the earliest, therefore the characterization of "in a few months" in the issue is inaccurate. Chair proposes that the TC would incorporate any eventual W3C Policy Rec in the next standard rev of WS-Trust. No objections. i122 - use case document needs example message Move to Pending. i123 - Fault codes needed for policy violations Move Pending. Issue originator will work with the editors on how to describe use of WSS security fault into the SP spec. d) Active issues i066 - SecurityPolicy use cases Closed. Future review comments should be submitted as new issues. i081 - Provide policy statements and associated URIs that can be referenced from wsp:PolicyReference statements Closed with no action. Noted that the Examples document could serve as input for profiling efforts elsewhere. f) Pending issues None. g) Next Steps: - SC/Trust New SC/Trust documents will be available today. Review comments due by end of week. Updated specs go to CS vote after review Progression through OASIS process requires testimonial from member companies. Members requested to submit testimonials. - SP Proposal to move to CD incorporating the pending update re: issue i123. No objections. Proposal to put CD version into Public Review. No objections. 5.
