Subject: Fwd: Email sent re: Groups - oasis - Ballot "Approve WS-Security Policy Examples as a Committee Specification" has closed
The ballot to Approve WS-Security Policy Examples as a Committee Specification did not receive sufficient votes to pass; a Special Majority is required (7 out of 10) but only 5 'yes' votes were cast. If people who are voting members did not wish to cast a vote because of the potential appearance of vote stacking, you can request 'persistent non-voting status.' That means that you no longer count towards quorum or have voting rights, but retain all other member privileges. If some of you just didn't have sufficient time to vote, you can request to have a new ballot started. While the minimum is 7 days, you can request that the ballot remain open for a longer period of time as well.
