Subject: WSBPEL XML.org site
OASIS WSBPEL TC members: Thanks again for inviting us to discuss BPEL promotional opportunities with you on this week's call. As I mentioned, press interest in your work is very high, and I anticipate some great coverage when the spec becomes an OASIS Standard. We briefly talked about creating an XML.org community site for BPEL, along the lines of what we have for DITA (http://dita.xml.org) and OpenDocument (http://opendocument.xml.org). XML.org community sites for UDDI, ebXML, PKI, and Emergency Management standards are also under construction. A BPEL XML.org site would be a great way to promote the work of the TC as well as BPEL products, services, implementations, etc. It offers an excellent mechanism for building and sustaining a community-of-support for BPEL. I encourage you all to review the DITA and OpenDocument sites to get a better idea of what is possible. You may also want to see: http://communities.xml.org/communities http://communities.xml.org/editorial-board-instructions (Please note: the content on these pages is accurate, but the framework at this site is still under construction; many of the links contained on these pages are not yet functional.) Please let me know if you have any questions. It would be great if we could have BPEL XML.org ready to launch when the spec reaches OASIS Standard status.
