Subject: Manageability Services for Common Management Model
Folks, The attached was posted to the GGF-CMM list. I saw the presentation of the implementation of a management framework on top of OGSI. They made a pretty comprehensive stab at it and many of the strategies were similar to the WSMF approach. It might be worth having a look. -- Take care: Dr. David Snelling <d.snelling@fle.fujitsu.com> Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Hayes Park Central Hayes End Road Hayes, Middlesex UB4 8FE +44-208-606-4649 (Office) +44-208-606-4539 (Fax) +44-7768-807526 (Mobile) > ------ Forwarded Message > From: Ching-Farn Wu <cwu@us.ibm.com> > Date: Thu, 9 Oct 2003 12:07:16 -0400 > To: cmm-wg@ggf.org > Cc: Ellen Stokes <stokese@us.ibm.com>, fred-m@crl.hitachi.co.jp > Subject: Manageability Services for Common Management Model > > > I presented the talk yesterday at GGF9 to make people aware > of this prototype package for CMM and hope to encourage discussions. > The package is available at http://alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/gems . > > In summary, manageability services implements an identity port type > in service factories and a relationship port type in service instances. > We do not have separate port type for lifecycle states because resource > states are already defined in SDEs, although it could be added later > for completeness.
