Subject: RE: Posting references to papers on XACML. Forwarded message fromCarol Geyer.
Karl and Carol Geyer both agree they have no OASIS issues with our publishing links to papers on XACML on our web site. Let's discuss this at our next meeting. Some issues to be decided: 1. Academic papers only? Trade press articles too? Vendor white papers too? Slide sets from talks on XACML? Anything that is publicly available? I suggest academic papers and trade press papers / articles, at least at first - academic papers are the ones from which TC members are most likely to learn, and XACML users may be more interested in trade press material. 2. Favorable references only, or all? If we are going to post anything, I strongly suggest all, in the interests of openness. As I mentioned earlier, if someone has really missed the point, we can post a rebuttal/explanation alongside the link to the reference. 3. How to display. Our home page is getting somewhat crowded. I suggest putting in a link to a web page that will be in our repository. Every time we add a new reference, I will add it to a copy of the web page, put the updated page into the repository, and then update the link on our home page. Anne

Nope, I agree this would be great. As long as the links are appropriately attributed and we're not republishing or excerpting anything, we should be fine. --c -----Original Message----- From: Karl F. I think that this is a great idea. As long as you're just linking and the papers stay on their own sites there shouldn't be any copyright concerns. Carol: can you think of anything to be concerned about here? -Karl Anne Anderson wrote: > Karl, > > The XACML TC is considering the idea of posting links to various > academic papers in which XACML is used or discussed on the XACML TC > Web Page.
