This document is a working list of possible enhancements which may be included in future versions of WS-Reliability specification.
Comments are solicited on this list of potential enhancements.
Next version should
support composition with new WS specs.
Next Version should take advantage of SOAP 1.2 Features and Modules.
Next version should
consider revising the HTTP binding section to rely more on the standard soap
binding to HTTP. The next spec could, instead of repeating all
the HTTP Binding details, rely more on the standard
soap 1.1 and soap 1.2 bindings to HTTP.
Next version should specify the use of transport bindings other than HTTP (e.g., smtp for oneway mep).
Next version should investigate taking advantage of WSDL 2.0 properties and Features.
Next version of
WS-Reliability should support, for the synchronous case - reliability assurances of request as well as reliability assurances of
response
Next version of spec
should consider removal of asynchronous poll. What can it achieve that cannot
be achieved by synch poll.
Next version of spec should consider various schema optimizations and style changes.
