Minutes from last 2 meetings accepted.
Interop:
Richard J. problems with
proxies, could be material for primer.
Also dynamic IP issues.
Conformance:
Walk through functional areas.
Markup:
Drop anchor class, add ‘tab’ class, refine menus.
WSDL:
Interop testing uncovered one JAX-RPC issue with the wsdl, when dealing
with a .NET producer dropping response object, have workaround.
PFB: 1st
meeting 7/15
Coordination:
1st meeting 7/9
Errata:
#21
Require namespace prefix field?
spec semantics already state that the namespace must be supplied with
the templates.
#22 Rich:
Don’t require consumer support the title, consumer can use it
optionally. Mike F: The Producer can’t predict whether the
new title will be used if there’s a cache. “Safest” approach for portlet would be to invalidate the
cache when just the title changes. Need guidance to the Producer..how does returning
the title affect the cache? Is it
understood that these are not necessarily tightly coupled? Rich: Primer? Mike
F: If it’s not clear what’s being
implied in the spec. Subbu: Decoupling is more of an implementation
choice. Andre, et al: agree it should be discussed in the
primer.
#23 SOAP 1.2 drops “.” delimiter in the fault name,
in favor of QNames. Bill C. 1.2 is now a W3C recommendation.
#24 Drop “Fault” suffix on element definition, leave
it on the type definition.
#25 Interop recommendation for handling faults
across stacks. Andre: SOAP 1.2 also relaxes the requirement
for single detail element.
#26 InteractionParmas.portletState renamed to
portletStateChange.
#27 Token namespace prefix rewriting. Steven: Both forms are still supported, including the
wsrp-urlType=namespace? Rich: Yes Mike F: Why are
we keeping both? Andre: Possibly for large blocks to be
rewritten, nice to have a terminator.
It’s primarily used for function names, so this isn’t a major point.
Resolved:
Add new constant, drop old form from spec.
#28 URL encoding valid for display mimeType
#29 Whitespace in URL rewriting expressions
disallowed? Alej: Needed?
#30 Accepted.
Andre emails:
Consumer indicates whether it proxies resources? Interop tests have shown proxied images
to be very slow. Mike F: Discuss in email.
Noted issue in testing with Oracle Consumer, will
continue discussion in Interop teleconference.
Primer:
Would like a 4th volunteer, if possible. Also, SC chairs should expect to be
polled for their input.
Spec Submission: Richard: Email
vote on the 15th?
Rich: Hopes to have a clean
version of the spec tomorrow, for review in time for the email vote. Followed by discussion basically
revisiting the reasons for going to submission on the 15th vs.
waiting one month. There will be a
special telecon (27 June) and ballot asking the group to commit to the 15th
as planned, or slip the schedule by one month.
