3. Approval of minutes of DSS TC Conference call of November 3rd, 2003 

* Minutes approved without comment.


4. Outstanding Actions

Reorganised into a list of issues


* Core options / profiles and conformance (Ed - Action Item 03-11-03-5)
   No change to current approach. Carry on as defined in working draft
   Action closed.

* Should Options be renamed? To AdditionalInputs, Inputs, Parameters, or something else?

   Rename it to OptionalInputs
   Action closed.

* Compound operations (Nick - Action item 03-11-03-7)
   Leave this issue open. Wait until we have gone a bit further with profiles.
   Need more information about controls.
   Put elements in core wherever possible, rather than in profiles. 
   Try and define common elements in core used by profiles, but wait until we 
are defining profiles.
   Insert placeholders in schema where we currently have generic elements with a 
note indicating that this may be updated due to work on dss profiles.

* Scenarios for claimed identities and authentication

   John Messing contacted legalXML group and Will report back to next meeting. 
   Nick asked question : if we do support does it change scope of DSS
   No views expressed about need to changing scope. 
   Current spec is sufficiently flexible to support this mechanism contained in a profile.
   Does it effect XML signature - not clear if this is a formal signature, as defined - need to clarify
   Profiling?-LegalXML group might cover this
   If done with other profiles, then it may help define 
   Juan-Carlos asked if definition of standard as XMLDSIG effects this - Need to clarify this
   Will invite legalXML group to submit a profile - Ask them if they want it to be defined as a formal signature.

   Will revisit after December 12.

* Future proofing TST syntax (Dimitri, Trevor - Action item 03-11-03-6)
   Propose to have an enclosing timestamp element that can include various types of tokens within. 
   Paper by David Orchard contains discussion on extensibility. 
   This issue is still open - need to consider Intellectual Property implications
   New Action Item 03-11-17-2: Trevor to provide new definition for structure based on Nick's suggestion and add to list.
