Meeting

12:00        roll call + minutes.

Last meeting was just a review of the WSRP 1.0 spec doc, no other minutes/actions recorded. Graeme volunteered to continue as Secretary beyond the F2F, although canât be present at the F2F.

12:01        F2F logistics / agenda

Directions for the meeting are up on the WSRP OASIS site.

action: Charlie ö to send out rendezvous/directions for the Tues night WSRP dinner, decide on arrangements for Wed WSIA dinner at F2F.

Q: On IP, is there a standard format, need it now?

A: Nope, no standard format, whatever your companyâs legal dept wishes to produce. Want to get that task complete in the F2F timeframe, so anytime now is good. Copy needs to be sent to Charlie + Karl Best.

Agenda for F2F sent to mail list. Wednesday is the ãjointä day, aiming to feed info back into WSRP to make sure the support is in place for Customized and Coordinated. Will probably expect Mike Friedman to present intro to Interfaces draft in the 9:45-10:30 slot, and go into detail in the 12:30-2:30 slot.

In the Customization session on Wednesday hoping to cover subscenarios and confirm the scenarios to be solved. Then review tech work that has been done and discuss ideas that have been raised re how to implement, building on the work being done in other groups. Customized subgroup havenât done a detailed drill-down yet, need to review status and plan it out with the whole WSIA group.

In the 12:30-2:30 slot might have issues to raise that come from discoveries/expectations in Customized/Coordinated. See email Charlie already sent out to mail list: ãIssue List for Joint Interfaces from WSIAä.

eg,

- thoughts on array processing (arrays of producers, parallel requests, etc) that overlaps with work going on in WSDL space. Good for performance but concerns if trying to cater to this will overcomplicate the simple consumer-producer case. So should this be at the API level of maybe taken care of by the underlying infrastructure..

- want to keep the property-setting mechanism separate from markup, use Customized as a way to surface the nature of the different properties needing to be set.

Q: Anything else?

A: (Monica) ö possibly concerns coming from the Security subcommittee re access control and authentication, legal considerations in credit card processing, etc. Possible concerns with some interactions in WSRP. Need Rich to help elaborate.

The Thursday 9-10 slot might be mainly security as thereâs not a lot in the markup area to be discussed right now. Also in that 9-10 slot is metadata discussion (publish-find-bind). Candidates for metadata, content model for UDDI, etc. Not much work been done in this area yet either.

Also on Wednesday hoping to get a feel for the ongoing need/nature of the WSIA/WSRP alignment - maybe in the security and events areas.

Thu 10-10:30 is a Coordination discussion, Charlie has some charts. Thinking of Coordination as it relates to WSXL, and maybe as a multi-producer version of Customization. That will lead into the Presentation/Data/Control discussion, and relevance of WSXL and X-Forms to Coordinated case.

Short of a presenter of the Glossary item on Thursday as Jeff / Monica cannot be there, probably left to a combination of Rex / Dan.

12:30        Joint Interfaces

Rich/Alan not on call, not much to say on this right now, ãcleanupä calls taking place over the weekend prior to the F2F.

12:32        Customized, Eilon

(see earlier note) Ravi raised hand to make sure that his ãdelegation stepä did not get lost in the doc shuffle.

12:35        Requirements Doc

(need Rich), no update.

12:35        adjourn. Next call expected to be on 7/12.
