The Individual Membership Signup page allows individuals to review and apply for organization memberships. You can select from the available memberships and fill out contact and personal information. This application may then be sent for moderator approval, which may be dependent on the receipt of legal forms or fees. Finally, the application form presents applicants with a status page indicating the current status of their membership application and any information or directions about what happens next.
Review the various memberships available with the organization.
Apply for memberships that are available and that suit your needs.
This page provides a list of all the memberships available with the organization along with descriptions of all the memberships. The eligibility criteria and benefits may also be displayed. The memberships could be two tiered having primary and dependent memberships. To apply for a dependent membership, you need to have the primary membership. The primary and dependent memberships will be displayed in conjunction. To view the complete description of the dependent membership, click the membership name link. The membership fee and time frame may be displayed. The same membership could be available for different fees and for different time frames. Review the list carefully and select a membership by clicking on the primary membership name link.
You may be eligible to apply for multiple memberships. All the memberships that are available in combination with the membership that you selected will be displayed on this page. The previously chosen membership will be preselected. Choose all the desired memberships and click Select.
The terms and conditions for obtaining membership with the organization may be displayed. Read them carefully and accept or reject them by clicking on the appropriate buttons. If you accept the terms, you will be asked to fill out the membership form on the next page. If you do not accept the terms, you will not be able to continue applying for membership.
The membership application form will be presented here. Enter various details such as name, address and email address. Make sure you enter a correct email address since login instructions will be sent to that email address once your membership becomes current. You may be asked to select your company name from a list. If your company is not on the list, you may be asked to enter your company's name.

Not all organizations require you to select a company during signup.
The memberships that you selected will be displayed for your review.
Once you receive membership with the organization, you will be able to edit the above information.
In the Preferences section, select your privacy option. Selecting to hide your personal information will either completely hide your details or hide only certain information depending on how the organization is configured. Each organization can choose whether to offer these choices and then how to respect each user's preference. To learn about how this organization may use your information, read the guidelines provided under the Preferences heading and the organization's privacy policy. You can also choose to be a part of the members email list or not.

If you select 'No, do NOT share information', your information or entire account can be hidden, depending on the site configuration. Selecting 'No, do NOT share information' has the following effects:
Removes (or partially hides) you from a roster of people from the same company available to this company.
Removes (or partially hides) you from membership rosters and directories.
In KaviŪ Groups, sets 'Display my address and phone number in addition to my name and email address' to No.
Administrators may also use this field to make decisions about any other places you may be displayed that are unique to this site.

If you select 'No, do NOT send general members email', you will be unsubscribed from the members@(your site domain.org) email list and can be excluded from any email sent using the Send Template-Based Email tools. Administrators may also use this field to make decisions about what other kinds of communication to send to you.

This setting DOES NOT impact any other mailing lists or contact options on this site, including those in KaviŪ Groups.
There may be various other instructions that you may be asked to follow, for example there could be forms to be downloaded and filled, agreements to be signed etc before you can get membership. Read the instructions carefully and follow the various steps.
After filling the membership application form, you may be asked to pay a membership fee. After entering the payment information, you can go to the status page. If the membership is pending moderation or is current, you will be taken directly to the status page.
